Bike exhaust on a car ????
Hi all i know its been covered but here goes
i have a tiger with a zetec fitted .. I fancy a change as im not to keen on the exhaust note the car has from what i can tell is a standard tiger
system .. ..
i have read a few people have use bike cans like R1 for example just wondered if anyone is using a bike can on a zetec what does it sound like ??
anyone willing to put a short vid on you tube ?
i fancy a black/fake carbon can if possible so i don't have to polish it
Also im aware the diameter of the can will affect performance so im asking what i should look for ..
Its only an idea the cars only used for road use i can always remove if i don't like ...
Thanks ryan

I'm running a 2L Pinto on DGAV carbs, and an R1 carbon can. I don't have a vid of it running (maybe could do one but not at the moment)
and at my IVA test it came in at 94dB so not loud, but it sounds nice i my book
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

Depending on your power output, 2 1/4" to 2 1/2"
I run a big 3" on a Pinto ready for my big output job
I eat to survive
I drink to forget
I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)

2.5" pipe through a 7" can will be fine, no need to go any bigger. im running a 200 bhp Pinto with mine and it sounds awesome!
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

i would say that the noise from my car would be irrelevant due to the variances in engines, exhaust manufacture, drive chain, power/torque, gear
ratio's, cam duration to name but a few, its going to sound different either way and the make up of your engine will give it its own sound. i
would imagine the induction noise would be completely different as well as you are running bike bodies and im not.
if you want my honest opinion, if you have the cash, i would invest in a good, well manufactures exhaust system to stock ones are usually crap!
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Cheers for that , i just wanted to here a bike can on a car i guess as i have no idea what one would sound like compared with a car one ?
Dont really want to fork out alot bike cans are very cheap from the right place that was the thinking behind it and if i didn't like it i would
remove ...
i found a Akrapovic can from a yamaha r1 for £50 it has a scrape where someones dropped it but only cosmetic and unlike the bike mounted where i will
have it that side would face the ground out of sight ..

I have iirc an r1 can on my pinto and its loud. Though it's bolted straight to the manifold and of unknown age.
