xflow which antifreeze
Been searching Google for a while but cant find advice as to which antifreeze is best so it's locost builders to the rescue again
Fast road 1600 xflow and aluminium radiator
What's everyone else using?

Depends how long you want it to last. If you are happy to change it every 2 years use the standard blue stuff from any accessory shop. If you want the
long life stuff it wil cost you more.
before you use the long life stuff you ahve to ensure there is none of the blue stuff left in.
In both x-flows and Zetecs I have only ever used the blue stuff and never had a problem with the alloy rad.

Take care this last couple of years most containers labeled anti-freeze are actually ready mixed 50% coolant but they still charge the big
price.
Longlife coolant is now about the same price as the 2 year stuff.
You can use either type just flush the system out firstt however some of the antifreeze coolants on the market are claimed to be mix able with
either type

If in doubt the flush the cooling system and fill with new antifreeze. Xflow engines would have had Ethlene glycol antifreeze when new
|
