cheap(er) accusump 12V shut off valve

Hi all,

Knowing how good the collective is at sniffing out alturnative suppliers and products, here is one for the hydraulic specialists.

I have an Accusump with manual shut off, basically means its always open!

I want to fit an electronic one and power it off of my ignition. Accusump suppliers sell a 12V solenoid shut off valve but its a lot of monies.

There must be a cheaper altunative.

Surly they dont make that piece of kit.

Thoughts \ links?

LPG kit sellers will sell you 12v solenoid valves at a fair price but they are only 8mm bore

I don't think that is wide enough bore to flow sufficient oil. The reason the EPC kit is so expensive is that it flows sufficient oil to be able to supply the engine in times of surge. With an internal bore of 6mm on those fuel solenoids, I doubt it would flow enough...

I have found this:

1/2"' NPT 16mm Stainless Steel Normally Closed 2Way Solenoid Valve Viton Oil Acid

I think it should work but it does mention on the description about only stopping the flow of fluid in one direction, although I dont think that is a problem.

Can you have a read through and see if this is suitable.
