throttle pedal travel

Hi all

Has anyone any hints on how to reduce throttle pedal travel. Mine seems to have a huge amount to get to full throttle, the cable moves almost 10 inches. Can I some how either mod the throttle pedal to give less or mod the other end of the cable where it meets the throttle body.

I'm using the standard ford throttle body if that helps

Thanks

Moving the pivot on the pedal is usually easiest way as you do not screw up cable pulls.

They other thing to do is add a cam on the pedal where the cable attaches. It means that instead of just pulling the cable it rolls it around a rad aiding the ratio of cable to pedal movement.
