can someone recommend a decent engine oil please
im going to swap out the engine oil this week before my trackday next weekend. can anyone recommend a decent oil for the 919 fireblade and a rough
ammount? i assume a 5 litre tub will be enough but im running an oil cooler up front. cheers

Maybe a Honda bike forum would be a better place to ask the question. You will find more bike engine knowledge there.

i used silkolene super4 10w40 semi in my old 919 and did lots of trackdays with no issues.
now using a ester synthetic in the R1 engine but that does run a lot hotter with hard track use than the blade ever did.
also bike oil only comes in 4L tubs, may not be enough depending on oil cooler size. get 2 tubs anyway then you have some to top up with, they can use
a little on track. i found i had to usually add a bit at lunch times.

I use Castrol semi synth from Halfords as I have a trade card. Whichever you get Just make sure it doesn't have friction modifiers in as it will
cause slip.
This is the one I use:
