r1 headgasket problem??

Car ran faultless at Cadwell a few weeks ago.
Came back today and 5 laps in I got a coolant alarm.
Stopped and checked her out to find low coolant
Topped it up. Fired her up with the cap off and theres coolant spitting everywhere.

Anything else to check before I load her up and make the 200 mile trip home?

Looks like detonation, it's been most likely running wrong, doesn't look lean but you never know. Was the head gasket damaged too?

We have seen bike engines in cars running the stock fuelling and ignition system, sometimes you can get away with it, sometimes not.

What engine management are you running?

This was a freshly rebuilt engine I bought.
I checked the bores etc with a camera and the piston tops where sparkly clean and there had certainly been a light honing in the bores.
The head gasket was advertised as a YEC gasket but it was infact a used standard head gasket with the centre leaf removed.
The gasket was toast and there was multiple places it may have been leaking from.

I had the fueling setup right from the off on a dyno.

It doesn't look like detonation to me.
The camera doesn't show it very wll but the piston is actually clean, not white as the picture shows.

The piston on the left of the picture looks to have its edge drooped in 2 places, classic det, the edge of the piston melts and clamps the top ring. You may see more when you strip the bottom end.
