locost fireblade help!
Hi all
im looking into building a locost powered by a bike engine probably fireblade with the view to race it in the rgb class (when its
finished)!.does anyone know what ratio diff is best for one of these engines or will a standard ford sierra one be suitable.also any ideas for fitting
a reverse gear cheers rob.d

3.18 or 3.38 would be ok.
Try this and see what you want.

3.38 if its Indy suspension or 3.54 if its live axle. If you don't want the hassle of building the car, my fury is for sale ;-)

Reverse gear - standard reduction type starter motor (I used a Honda civic one), if its live axle then you mount the gear on the engine end or the
middle of the prop (like I have check out my website) or if its Indy, then mount gear direct to rear diff input flange

thanks for your help guys will try build with 3.38 as suggested ive been racing and building karts for last 20 years so looking forward to the change
to cars, steep learning curve ahead!
