Rear CV Boots... replacement & fitting (Sierra)
Hi chaps,
Spent ages trying to fathom out the search function, and its pretty much useless for small words such as 'CV' lol
I believe I have 'bolt on' shafts, I've noticed my inner CV boots are both split, so need replacing.
What am I looking for? Will something like this do?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-SIERRA-RS-COSWORTH-2WD-REAR-CV-BOOT-KIT-SET-/121215913794?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c39080f42<
br />
I appreciate it states that the kit does one rear shaft, however my outers are fine, so can I not just do both inners with these as they look the same
(in the photos)
Also, is it as simple as it sounds, unbolt, remove, refit, job jobbed?

The 2wd sierra cosworth uses 108mm lobros on a 7.5" diff, I assume you need the 100mm lobros used with a 7" diff, so that kit will not
fit.
To answer your question, yes inner and the outer are identical and are very easy to fit, assuming everything comes apart as it should
Cheers

Thanks for your reply -
How will I know whether I need 108mm or 100mm? or are you telling me I need 100mm? lol

I am assuming you will need 100mm as the huge majority of kit cars use the 100mm 7" diff type, it's easy enough to check just measure the
lobro body diameter
