my gearboxin the indy is supported using the standard bracket (drill the rivets in the big chunk as standard to leave the metallastic bush section)
this is then supported on 2 steel strips welded to the diagonal bottom tubes of the tunnel to make fixing flanges essentially to support the gearbox
bracket. drill and bolt through. bolt gearbox to bracket with original bolt and robert's your dads brother as they say.
will try and get a better pic soon if i'm not beaten to it

The standard sierra mount is VERY sloppy, the gearbox can have about 1/2" of movement. A westfield mount is only a tenner inc postage and is VERY
stiff. You have to make up your own mount but well worth getting it right

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Sorry to hijack but we need to make a mount for our LT77 'box but the proper mounting rubbers (which you need 3 of) cost £15 each!
I don't suppose anyone knows what thread size they use and if something like the landrover engine mount would be compatible (and hopefully much
much cheaper).
They screw into 3 points on the back of the 'box, the middle one goes in vertically and the 2 either side at and angle. \__/ style.

The landrover mount is M10.
They cost about £2.50 each.

That's more like it. Do you have dimensions for the LR item? Where's a good place to get them? I think the gearbox uses metric threads (V8
uses UNC i believe) so it could be a goer.
Cheers,
Mackie.
