Blacktop Zetec Inlet Manifolds
Hi Guys,
Just a quicky, i'm about to put a 2.0 blacktop into my Striker using stock ignition and ECU.
What inlet manifolds would bolt straight onto this engine which might be a bit smaller than the 2.0 massive plastic plenum?

You can get a 1.8 silver top inlet manifold of a EFI engine, this has a 30mm thick conversion plate with injectors in it. Then it is easier to make
your own, just have to make the plenum. Using the original throttle body, Also if you want to fit bigger injectors in the future. Just use side fed
injectors.
I am using 460cc injectors of a subaru sti that i brought for £6o of the Bay. There is some pics in my archive. Kev.

The 1.6 is very restrictive with a small bore, the 1.8 115 ps is better but the 130ps HO manifold on the RS1800 Fiesta or Escort GTi is the best of
metal inlets.
Like you say the plastic ones are big and bulky the metal ones are better if you have space restrictions.

You could do a lot worse than see if Daveb666 still has my old manifold, It was for sale when he changed over to throttle bodies.

I have a manifold that will work. I'll get a couple of pictures taken if you might be interested.
