Zetec Hoses

Hi guys,

I have two air hoses on my blacktop unaccounted for.

1. I have no idea what this is or what it's for:

2. This one is from the head and I think it should end up feeding back into the main plenum?
(The one with gaffer tape round it coming from the rocker on the left)

Thanks
Andy

I linked the pair of mine and T jointed into a catch tank at first.

The sump oil/water seperater now goes to the catch tank and the one on the head now to atmosphere with a small fliter on the cam cover, i'm sure pics are in my archive in the zetec folders.

the ugly breather box on the side of the engine can be removed completely
you can buy a steel/alloy plate that covers the hole,or a core plug which does the same
i went for the core plug while the engine was out, might be easier to use a plate if its in situ
the rocker,as said can be vented downwards, fit one of those little breather filters on ebay direct to the rocker or to an oil catch tank
zetecs dont seem to breathe heavily so you wont miss the crank breather
