How flexible are silcone hoses?
How flexible are without them kinking?
The zetecs waterpump comes out at a slight angle to the rear and the route it needs to take is to the front. there is very little room to the side
panel so unlikely I can do it with straight/flexible pipe. So the pipe needs to come out straight in to a turn of about 120 degree.
It also comes out at 35mm where as the rest of the system runs on 32mm, so somewhere I need to reduce it down to 32.
Samco do a 120 bend but they charge quite alot more (It will mean I do all samco as I want all the same manufacturer for consistant logos/colours).
Most others do a 90 or a 135.
My options are;
(If the silcone pipes bend alot)
Fit 90degree 35-32mm reducer and bend it the extra 30degree.
(If they only bend a bit)
Fit 135degree 35mm, pull back close to the 120 and add a 35mm ally joiner and a straight reducer to go down to 32mm
(If they wont bend at all.)
Fit samco hoses
or
Fit 135 then reducer and add a bend to the alloy.
Im hoping they are quite flexible but not holding out much hope.

A 90 to 120 will kink without a doubt (although probably only slightly).
Can you not get a 120 deg ally bend and insert into the 90 deg samco to stop kinking?

They tend to flatten out unless you use the ones with the steel wire wrapped around inside like a spiral they are sold as flexible, although even
those are not that bendy and not cheap.

What about this
Hose 90 deg pointing down
Short straight joiner/reducer
Hose 90 deg pointing forward.

If it helps, on mine I've got the samco hose out of the water pump and the rest are blue ones from an eBay seller.
The colours are the same.

Good lateral thinking, and my eyes lit up when I read that, but checking my pictures, going down will certainly clash with the engine mount, and going
up will not only be close to manifold but may clash with the planned route for the upper coolant pipe.
As it appears they are quite stiff I think a 135 with an reducer and an angle on the alloy pipe might be the best route.
Or fork out for the samco items. (or as its low down and out of sight just one one pipe)
