a few questions regarding a blade engines and other stuff
hi people.
just a few questions I would be greatful if you wonderful people could answer regarding an 893 blade engine
1. Is the barbed pipe that comes out of the head underneith the carbs part of the cooling system ? it sits just under the no1 carb balancing vaccuum
port thing.
2. Does the length of HT leads effect the spark performance ? ive extended mine to about 450mm long and im hoping this will be fine.
3. In terms of the cooling system can anyone reccomend me a cheap expansion tank OEM or other that has 2 10mm puch on tubes ?
4. What is the best way to introduce water into the cooling system after a car build ? ie. with no water in the system at all ?
thanks Alan

If it's directly under the carbs then vacumn take off, there will be small bolts under the other inlets so just block up.
Makes no difference in the real world, my coil packs are on the bulkhead so no.1 is the longest.
Cannot help on 3.
I fill mine through the top hose, just pour in 50/50 mix of oat antifreeze

So it's just a vacuum port ? I'm sure I read somewhere on here that it was part of the cooling system.
Thanks for the reply

There's also a barbed outlet on the thermostat cover, this needs plumbing to the top of the rad or header tank as it bubbles off air.
