type 9/xe adapter

anyone have any info on making an adapter plate for the type 9 to vauxhall engine? is it doable? whats involved, is it as simple as it sounds

erm, well if you have an xe engine, a t9 gearbox, a metal plate and the dimensions for a standard bellhousing it shouldn't be too hard, but bellhousings are available at around £160 so most people just buy these to be honest...

i was aware of the bellhousings that are available ned, but i was wondering if making my own adapter plate was any sort of competition for sourcing a manta or carlton box

what did you do in the end i know you trod this route a while back ?
