which carb?
Ok, i have a choice of 2 carbs in the garage. for my xflow
A Weber 32 DGAV-5E (the casting says 24 and 23 on the cylindrical sections.)
or
Weber 32 DFM (these casting says 24 and 23 on the cylindrical sections.)
Dont know whether these are similar or very different .
The engine is a very mild 1320cc GT xflow, with a balanced bottom end and flywheel. NO porting. K&N. Decent exhaust. Standard GT cam as far as i
know, although given the work on the bottom end this might not be correct.
It is also likely to get electronic ignition in the not to distant future. (im asking Santa )
So which is best? and what sort of jetting do i need to get it up and running?

as nobody seems to have jumped in with a definative answer maybe a phone call to a guy called andy grey at webcon might shed some light into your
world ! he is the main man in the technical department and his number is 01932 750203. hope this is of some help.

Can't quite remember the codes.
DGAV has an automatic choke and vacuum operated second choke, DGM has manual choke and both throttles are opened by the cable (one after the other).
The DGM is the better performance carb as you can open both throttles fully, while the DGAV opens the second throttle only when you have built up
enough revs for the vacuum to do it's stuff.
