what to do with a ford v6

Hello people.
I have become the proud owner of a 2.9 12v colonge motor some assembly required
I'm thinking a something a bit different but need some guidance, help, support

Ideas are as follows.....
Run it on bike carbs problems I see which carbs where do I get an inlet manifold what else would I need?
Bolt a supercharger to the top of the motor hot rod style again which supercharger? Should I keep injection or convert to run on a cab/carbs

Advice and tip would be great or if you think im completly made the please comment

Your mad
Bogg bros do bike carb manifolds for vee engines and would advise on what to use
6 carbs pointing upwards would make a nice noise

The 2.9 is not terribly tuneable.
Good engine though, check the Front camshaft cog, I remember its made of a fibre and wears a lot.

Would sound great with a Bogg Bros manifold and some carbs
Trouble is it there are far more powerful engines out there.
Also you will need a V6 gearbox, which have the longer bellhousing / spigot / shaft.
So check you can get one of these, or something else that is convertible to use with the V6.

I'd rather have a V8 anyday.
As a minimum a BMW straight 6.

6 pots still make a nice sound, almost as good as a V8, but not quite, but them I'm biased

EDIT:
BTW the 2.9 V6 was injected as std.
The 2.8 came as carb'd or later with injection.
There is a big difference between the 2.8 and the 2.9. Are you sure which one you have?
Both are revvy little engines and go well.

I have the gearbox and a m3 diff im going to make fit ive been give all the bits so thats why a wanna use it
I agreed a bmw v8 wiuld be great but I wasnt given one maybe project number 2

If I was to use bike carbs what carbs would I need to use would I need addition management as I have the loom and ecu to go with it or would bogg bro tell me.

Its all about the sound for me thats why I thought about a supercharger

Its a 2.9 injection 100% have the efi plenum 3 port heads

If you have the plenum, do you have the fuel rails and injectors? If do by far the best idea is to run it on EFI using megasquirt. You can retain the dizzy or fit a crank trigger and coilpack.

Bike carbs are fine, but still not as good as fuel injection - power wise there's nothing in it, but drivability is better on Efi.

In the future you could then turbocharge using a single turbo and the megasquirt. These engines are strong, 300bhp no problem.

The 2.8 inlet manifold does fit the 2.9, it's the exhaust that's siamesed on the 2.8.

the 2.8 inlet manifold is not a direct fit to the 2.9...

the bolt holes are different and need welding up and moving.

i have just had one done, so can take some photos later if needed..

I like the idea of turbo but a bit beyond me I think having some bike carbs stuck straight up out of the bonnet would be really cool
Pictures would be great
