cvh manifold question...
just a quick qu to those with 1.8 cvh's:
which type of inlet manifold should i be loking for - some people say they are all the same (as the 1.6 cvh from xr2 etc) and some say they are
different.
something to do with the water hose connection or something.
just wondering if any of you chaps can help...
i would go check my car, but its 200miles away and im already suffering withdrawal symptoms.
are these two the same - is it what im looking for?
thanks for your help
tom

Niether will fit straight on, the 1800 CVHhas a water outlet cast into the rear.
To fit one of these manifolds you would have to make a sandwich plate to go between this maniflod and the head in order to blend the different port
shapes and cover the rear water outlet.
Then you would have to fit a transverse CVH thermostat housing to regain the water outlet..

You cant buy the required manifold , no-one makes them for the 1800CVH so you will have to do it by modifying one of these to fit.
You can replace the standard carb with a Weber DGAV or DGV , by mounting it on the standard manifold with an adaptor plate.
It works well........
Or you could make your own manifold and fit a set of Bike carbs!!!!!!.............................
