Wanted, KLZE Cylinder Heads or Cams
Hi all,
It now seems that I'm keeping the KL V6 as the jag V6 and Accord V6 have other issues to fit it my RX8 so I'll be looking to increase the
power of the KLDE. I'm looking for either the cams or the complete heads off a KLZE.
As far as I know they are compatible with the DE block, as in, to put the klze heads on a klde block and set the timing right. Does anyone have such
parts they don't need?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure the KLZE ever made it to Europe, I think it was JDM only but I could be wrong. Some guys in the US have imported stuff from Japan, I suspect
you may have to look there too. There are several US/Canadian sites that specialise in this engine, I will try and look up some links but Google may
get you there faster.

Ah thanks for that, I thought I've seen a couple I ze engines here but they could have been imports.
My brother lives in Canada so he might be able to send me some an avoid duty.
Cheers.

As said, the ZE was JDM only. Having said that, the only major differences are the cams, pistons and inlet manifold and the matching inlet port shape.
If you're going to be running ITBs, then it's only the pistons and cams. The pistons are flat top as opposed to recessed like the DE ones.
They will raise the compression ratio from 9.2:1 to 10.0:1, IIRC.
Have a look here for more detail.

If you have not found it already there is some interesting KL stuff on www.xtremethings.com. Not sure quite what is for sale but they show some
throttle body manifolds. There is another guy in the US supposedly making ITB manifolds (jesse@shelbyparts.com ). I am on his waiting list but have
not heard anything in months so not sure he is actually in production.
