Injector Cleaning
The hairdressers has developed a flat spot at around 4500rpm.
Replacing the plugs has had no effect.
Next in line the injectors, mainly because I haven't touched them in 3 years and it runs rich due to lack of an intercooler.
There's no-one local to Reading who provides servicing/flow testing.
Having spoken to him this guy seems to know what he's doing and at £12.50 per injector his prices sound right.
He can not only advise on injectors but supplies new ones and service kits.

Ive used him before, no complaints really and it did cure a misfire.

injectortune.co.uk for me - similar price, prompt turnaround. No complaints, although I was surprised that they were all within ~3% before cleaning,
given that they're off a 18 year old car... so wasted money? Dunno but it's good to know they are all 100% healthy.

I think having someone who can properly service and test them has got to be worth the money.
OK you can check resistance and squirt cleaner through them using 12v and a clicker switch but it's not as if you can a) clean them properly -
don't know about you but I never realised there's a micro filter in the injector which can block or b) test them for flow rate under
pressure.

I had a cavalier sri130 fitted with the 8v seh engine years ago, had the injectors cleaned locally and he ended up putting them through the ultrasonic
clean 8 times to get them all equal.
I refitted them and my Co at idle was up to 7.3%, he reset this and the car was transformed,the power was loads more linear, nice and smooth all the
way through the throttle movement.
