exhaust mountings

Just finished mounting my wunoff silencer (big beastie (about 6" in diameter and 29" long). I have used two of those little rubber "bobbin" exhaust mounting things with some brackets I have made from 3mm steel strap. It feels fairly solid but the question is whether two bobbins is enough ? Or even the right thing to use ?

What have other people done ?

I have used the bobbins for my exhaust.
3mm steel also sounds good.

From experience I have found that exhaust mounts have a habit of breaking and now make mountings much thicker than i would normally. I also use 3mm steel.

I used the mini bobbins first but then put a more substancial (triumph herald engine mount i think) bobbin on,I'd seen this type used by some of the manufacturers so if its good enough for them Rescued attachment DSCN0248.JPG
