oil cooler help needed
I've got a oil cooler sandwich plate with the number SB2 stamped into it, can anyone tell me whether it will fit onto a Pinto engine? Also
which seals I would need to fit between the plate and the engine block . I Need to get a 3/4unf adaptor so the filter will fit but looking at this
sandwich plate it looks like the hexagonal nut part of the adaptor might prevent the filter from seating properly... Any advice welcome.

Sounds like hard work. Throw it and buy one intended for a pinto?!?
You don't want any risk with oil. Engines like oil and other track dayers certainly don't like you sharing yours worth the circuit.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Definiteky sb and not sp?
Go to thinkauto, oil cooler take off to see if there is a match.
You should be able to screw in your existing filter to the hollow bolt.
Evrn if yoy cant, there are not that many ok fikter threads, a trip to halfords will find one that fits. In fact you will end up with a choice of
different diameter/ height combinations.

Yes definitely SB2.
Thinking will take the safe route and buy one I know will fit the Pinto

When choosing an oil filter, remember there are a few more things to consider, other than the thread size and dimensions. Some have in-built
anti-drain gubbins. Some have dip tubes and/or relief valves.
