R6 or R1?
Hi Guys,
I have a 2.0 Zetec engine with carbs fitted.
I was told they are R6 but how can I check if they are?
Are R6 ok for a 2.0L or should I change to R1 carbs?

I have ZX6 carbs on a standard 2.0 Zetec and they are great - I think they are similar size to R6 [about 37-38 mm chokes] and R1 are about 40mm.

Hi,
Where are you measuring? If I measure the apeture that fits to the manifold, mine measure 42 - 43 mm

That sounds right. Perhaps R1 carbs are bigger than I though.
The measurement I took is the inside diameter at the manifold end as you can see in the pic.

Yeah thats where I measured. So mine sound like R1 Carbs as they measure 42 - 43 mm??
