Which ford gearbox mount is this please?

Dear Collective Mind

Due to personal numptiness, I managed to tear the rubber in this gearbox mount. It's from a 4 speed ford (rocket?) box, mounted in my Fury.

I want to order a shiny new one from Burton's today, but don't want to until I'm sure I have the right one. Any ideas which I should be asking for?

Thanks All

that's a std. Sierra / Granada mount
like this:
sierra / granada type mounts
sierra / granada type mounts

(Left: ford OE, Right: generic aftermarket)

although most people prefer the older and much firmer 4 speed mount (Cortina etc - as used by westfield and caterham)
but they are smaller and would need mods to the chassis mounts:
4spd type mount :)
4spd type mount :)

From memory that looks the same as the rear gearbox mount on a type 9 box. IIRC you can get a stiff one from Westfield that helps limit movement of the rear end of the box (I used one on my MK Indy build).

Demon Tweaks do a Vibra Technics mount, which uses two round rubber isolators if you want stiffness.

Many thanks for all the ideas. I'll go for a vibra-technics one if Burtons have it.

thanks

^^^ aren't those ones made to the Cortina/ Westfield/ Caterham dimensions?

Meaning that they are significantly narrower mounting centres and a different height compared to the sierra one your replacing....
