st170 valve clearence

the engines a bit tappety does any one know the correct tappet gaps they are the solid bucket type have googled it with no luck

How would you adjust them as there are no shims like a black top ?

you have to buy new buckets at the size required
my vivaro van is the same its wright pain in the backside measure the gap then measure bucket with a micrometer work out the difference then go and buy the nearest size bucket to your requirements

I thought that may be the case. I bet that's not a cheap job. I can't see why the tolerance would be any different to a black top.

just had a thought there cant be many different types of buckets I have a few spare ones from my vivaro rebuild get the old micrometer out you never know

seems that it is a closely guarded sectret tried every where to find tappet gap only thing I have found is on piper cams website
inlet .010 exhaust 0.25mm ??????
inlet .012 exhaust 0.30mm ??????
