New LSD will not fit
Just bought a Trans X LSD for my Dax Rush M/C from the UK for my car runs the Sierra 7" diff but the LSD would not fit, turns out i have a
Cosworth diff with bolt on hubs As I'm in Australia this is a real pain in the bum, now i have to send it back and they will send me a ATB type
LSD with hubs that will fit, i'm a bit disappointed as i've heard the Trans X is a better LSD for sprints and hill climbs.
Cheers
David.

actually all you need is the stub axles from an open centre diff (they are equal length instead of the unequal ones you get for a ford LSD) and
modified to use snap rings instead of circlips to hold them in
any open centre 7" diff from a Sierra or Granada will be suitable
or you could make hybrid shafts that are bolt on at the hubs and push-in at the diff

Thanks for the advice, you make it sound very easy, but over here the 7" diff is not very common so know body knows much about them so it would
be very difficult to find someone to fix the problem.
Do you know anybody over your way that could supply what i need because that would be cheaper and easier than sending the LSD back.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
David.

its true that quaife make a version of the ATB with the flanges - but they aren't a cheap extra
unfortunately sierra bits are getting harder to find over here
this thread may be of interest to you: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=138216
I removed the bits you need from my spare diff for the one in the link above

So what i need is the hubs from a standard 7" which are the push in type as shown in your photo, then what modification needs to be made to make
them to able to be bolted to my bolt on axles and also what needs to be done to the other end with the c clip because my fitter said there is no room
inside the diff to fit the clip.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers David.

Almost - yes its the standard (non-LSD) shafts you need, but the only modification you'll need to make is to use snap rings (like the push-in
driveshafts that the drum braked cars used)
here's the stubs / shafts out of a Ford viscous LSD - compare them to my pic above:
but your tranx diff will need ones modified to be like these:
sorry I never thought to take any sizes before I sold off all of my spare ones
