How much did you pay for Weber / Dellorto 40s??

Hi,

What is a good price for a decent condition pair of Weber or Dellorto 40s? I know of some Dellortos with trumpets etc in good cond. for £200, is that a good deal? Also, any comments on which are better?

Cheers,
Stu

I paid £350:00 for my Delortto's.

But the did come with an inlet Manifold, and a 4 Branch Exhaust Manifold as well.

Oh.. and a 2.1 Pinto, with a head job, and a Fast Road Cam, and a complete wiring loom (whole Car loom).

I would have thought that was reasonable if it includes a manifold and linkage and they are REALLY in good condition.

Weber 40's

Hi

I paid £150 for a matched pair with a pinto manifold, twin linkage and trumpets. They needed a good clean and a service but this only cost £40 for the parts.

I would think that £200 for a pair in good condition seems fair but remember the chances are they will need to be re-jetted etc.

If they are a matched pair (serial numbers in sequence) in really good nick then that's not a bad price.

You have to be careful, there is a huge amount of sh1t out there, particularly in Ebay land, in the way of weber/dellorto 40's.

You may well find you get cheaper ones that then need far more work doing on them. I would gladly pay £100 extra for carbs that I could see "working" on an engine.
