Trev where is that from - i assume you are not a Vauxhall specialist - it would be interesting to compare that to a 306 HDI 2000 (W) reg.

hdi comes in 90 and 110bhp varieties iirc, not sure on torque or other details though I'm afraid. Then there's the vw pd series units,
90,110,115,130,150bhp iirc as well..
Ned.
beware, I've got yellow skin

You can wind up the new VW/Audi 2.0 TDI's to over 200BHP with a little chippery
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

The transplant was so easy, took me less than a day to do.
step 1 removed engine from donor.
Step 2 lifted the bonnet on new car.
Step 3 balanced alfa engine in chassis
step 4 close bonnet and drink tea
ta da all done (apart from it not working)
We are still doing some of the work to get it bolted up.
The engine is the 3.0 12v V6 from the alfa 164. Ally block, heads. sump.
Manufacturer: Alfa Romeo
Type: V-6
in 60° vee

Bore / stroke ratio: 1.28
Displacement: 2959 cc 180.56 cu in
Compression: 10.00:1
Fuel system: Bo Mot fuel inj.
Aspiration: Normal
Catalytic Converter: Y
Max. output: 202.8 PS (200.0 bhp) (149.1 kW)@5800 rpm
Max. torque: 264.0 Nm (195 lbft) (26.9 kgm)@4400 rpm
Coolant: Water
Specific output: 67.6 bhp/litre
Specific torque: 89.22 Nm/litre
We have made a belhousing to fit the type 9 box but are just refining it. If there is any interest in using these engines we will farbricate some in
alloy.
Going to use the standard injection system (the engine loom is separate from the rest in the alfa)
Everything else on the car is cortina I think.
We keep hitting a few minor problems but think we can overcome most of them. My friend owelly is the brains and manufacturer behind all of this.
It should turn out to be a nice looking nice sounding car if we get it finished
