Rover v8 lifting points
As per subject really I'm looking to lift my rover v8 and gearbox out of my Dax this weekend and wondering where is best to attach the crane and
if there is a pre fabricated sling available?
Many thanks Sam

Here are some photos of me putting the engine back in my Fury. Get yourself a load leveller and bolt it to the heads.

Given how tight that looks, is it possible to drop the engine out of the bottom? Lift the car, not the engine?

Rover lifting eyes bolt on the heads and are just bits of steel plate with holes in. They attach to holes on the end of each head. I personally
never used a load leveller but mine has a big engine bay.

Thanks for photos scudderfish I have just ordered an engine leveller, there is more space on top believe it or not than underneath as it has the
chassis closer to the block on the underside than the top, I had a look earlier and don't think it will be too bad, I'm used to
helicopters so access seems ok.
Thanks Sam
