Puma engine length?
A simple question for all those using the Ford Puma engine -
What is the length from the rear (block/bell-housing) face to the front face of the timing cover? How much shorter than a Zetec?
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

450mm to the cam belt cover then another 40mm to the front of the engine mount.
I don't know how long the zetec is?

melly-g, Thanks for this information. Saw a bare Puma engine on Puma Racing stand, at the recent NEC restoration show. Unfortunately, didn't
have my tape measure with me (left it in my tintop!!!!). Tape measures on sale were too pricey, so I hoped to blag a bit of string from somewhere, and
measure it that way. No string or cord found. Hence my question.
Just from seeing this bare engine example, I reckoned that it would be significantly shorter than the Zetec. Will check it out this week.
Thanks again.
P.S. Have you fitted your Puma engine yet? Got any photos of the installation?
