Fuel & ignition options
I'm thinking of another project, and might buy a part-built car with a 2.0 zetec.
The main missing engine parts are fuelling & ignition.
As I see it my options are below - if anyone could add any others i've missed and point me to their favourite, I'd be grateful.
1 - Brand new throttle bodies or carbs with ecu like emerald, weber alpha, etc:
WAY too expensive!
2 - Cheaper version of (1) 2nd hand carbs & more basic ecu like megajolt:
Much cheaper, but a bit more complicated to source all bits & put together
3 - Bike carbs (with help from someone like Bogg Brothers) and megajolt:
Probably cheap, and all comments I've heard have been good, but a bit 'off the beaten path'
4 - Use standard ford ecu & intake plenum:
Cheap & standardised, but too big to fit
5 - Use standard ford ecu and custom intake manifold:
Cheap & mostly standardised (except for manifold) but I'm sure I could find someone who can weld ally to produce something
6 - am i missing any?
Cheers in advance,
Adam.

would I be right in saying...
... that that option would be more complicated than bike carbs?
As a non-expert, I'm trying not minimise the complexity if possible.
Good idea though, cheers,
Adam.

Depends how good you are with electrics. See the thread below for more details.
I'm using Bike Bodies with Emerald, but only because I already had an Emerald otherwise it would be something from the Megasquirt family
