Zetec to MT75..... Which starter motor?
I have just found out my starter motor doesnt fit in my MT75 gearbox due to the side of the sump getting in the way.
Its a 2ltr zetec with a shortened 2ltr sump and MT75 box from a double overhead cam sierra.
Has any one else had this problem? How do i get around it?

I take it you have a later engine. If you have you need to attack the sump casting where the starter will go, you should be able to remove enough
without breaking thru to the inside of the sump.
If you have the earlier engine, same as mine (see my photo archive) then a Sierra DOHC starter will fit (amongst others) without any mods. The
standard Mondeo starter won't fit as the solenoid is in the wrong position.
