DHLA 40G

Just picked up a pair of DHLA 40G for my Pinto 2.0
I notice that the idle mixture screw seems to be non adjustable.
It has a one way head on it ie. only able to screw in, not out.
Is this normal??

Regards

yes I think so!!
But the question is, do I need to remove it or can I still tune the carbs to my engine?

G are an emission spec carb.
I had (sorry, cant remeber which) emission dellortos on a zetec. They came off a 2 litre alfa, and all they required was the idle jet increasing from 60 to 62. However, they had 2 issues. 1 was a slight flat spot, the rolling road couldn't sort that, it may have been down to zetecs requiring extra progression holes. 2nd, on autosolos the carbs would flood. But the car was good on the road and returned late 30's on the motorway at 80.
