Fuel Pipe Supplier
Hi all,
Please could someone suggest a supplier where I can source a replacement fuel pipe for my XFlow - locost (Located between fuel pump and tank).
It's starting to fracture/leak at the bottom near the fuel tank connection. The writing appears to be in German and so was wondering what you
guys recommend.

Any R9 (SAEJ30R9) fuel pipe of the correct diameter should be fine.

Thats certainly looking a bit worse for wear. I'd be included to buy a few metres and replace all flexible fuel lines whilst you are at it

Just beware of eBay and similar e-retailers as there's a lot of fake stuff marked up as approved.

I also use that (8mm and 10mm), very very good stuff and it's been on my car for several years now and is still as soft/rubbery (if that's
a scientific test lol!) as the day it was fitted

Been using Cohline from CBS for a couple of years now with no problems at all.
This R9 came from a 'reputable' supplier, its not just ebay you need to be wary of...

I've had R9 go like that in just three years with E5 so guess it would only take 2 or less with E10. Mine was from a proper supplier too. Next
time I'll be going with teflon or suchlike as it seems that even the higher grade NBR, supposedly good for E85, is only good for a couple of
years at best.

Can you state your 'reputable' suppliers supplying suspect hose please so we know the lay of the land?

Just use gates barricade. Might be more expensive but will last much longer. Just make sure its genuine gates stuff though.

I think where possible its best to switch to metal lines and try and find some OE plastic lines that can be cut and made to fit where movement is
needed. Rubber hose is pretty much unheard of in OE applications now.

What annoys me is that when I fitted my bike carbs I fitted a bike fuel pump. This has a length of flexible pipe that doesn't feel anything
like the usual reinforced rubber, but it's been flawless ever since I installed - and I can't find out what it's made of!
