Ford 2.8i V6 Gearbox

Having just about given up finding a long shaft Type 9 box I`m looking for alternatives.I know about the MT75 box but I`ve also been told the Sierra diesel box will fit as it also has a long input shaft and is supposed to be stronger anyone know if this is correct?

Hi Mark,

Longshaft type 9's are often available on Ebay, I've just bought a recon one for 70 quid. Another one is available right now, check out item 4524241524 (currently £25). Unfortunately that one's in S. Wales, but I'm sure others will come along if you keep a watch on it.

Ah well, I've probably just doubled the final price for some geezer in Llanelli. Hope he appreciates it.....
