Almost Back...

After a number of years on SORN, I'm looking to get the MK Indy back on the road. New battery fitted and fired up almost straight away! Just some other jobs to do before MOT but shouldn't be too far away

Can't quite believe the price increases these days. Everything seems to have doubled in price since I was last here. No wonder this forum is now much quieter!

Phil

Welcome back

You're still there on the leaderboard.

But quiet here is an understatement sadly compared with the "good old days"

Yep. Definitely ‘Build Your Own Sportscar for £500’ nowadays! Or is that ‘2 Rons’?

Welcome back!

Welcome back Hellfire, good to see an old member reappear.

Prices have certainly increased and I suspect scared many off the kit car scene.

Hi Graham, dad and Steve are both fine, although dad suffers with glaucoma and hasn't been able to drive for a couple of years now.

I'm quickly finding out that sourcing Sierra parts is like looking for hens teeth!

It's great to see some familiar names still hanging around this forum. Proper blasts from the past

Phil

Was looking for a Sierra master cylinder but decided to get the one we have refurbished instead. Just trying to find somewhere reputable to do it

Depending on which one as there are many, you probably know?
One in particular is like hens teeth, I was VERY lucky to find one at an auto jumble new old stock, but as per

https://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=220225

I had a real mare getting mine sorted with 2 goes and 2 seal sets from Big Red, but the m/c were just past it.
So if you have found somewhere to re-sleeve it, at an of this world price then that's probably your best option

Funnily enough I've just noticed mine dropping brake fluid all over the exhaust. Bad times.

Bloody hell fi.. there's a blast from the past Welcome back! Been a lurker myself for the past few years, but MK still gets at least a few miles a year. Though last year I did fewer miles than I gave pounds to the government for tax
