Hi Jacko,

Sorry to hear you are leaving the Pinto fold - I really liked what you did with the SU's

Good luck anyway

Cheers

Apologies for the thread hijack.

What did you do with the twin SU's Jacko? How did they work compared to the more conventional route?

Laid out flat

From the face of the rear flange to the start of the centre bearing is 880mm. The boltholes are elongated and the carrier is 65mm wide. Rescued attachment prop.jpg

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Confession - a misunderstanding I am not changing my car engine Im doing it for a mate.
Peteff - Thanks for sending the measurements I needed.
Darran- The SU carbs I have fitted are from two metros 1300cc and a home made manifold. Im very pleased with the performance. Im going to try different needles when I get the car back on the road. If you look in my photo archives you will see some pictures. U2U me if you need more info.
Mark- Dont be daft I wouldn't leave the pinto family Ive just had a lot of mods done to my engine to blow you of the road. Good luck with the hill climbs this year.
Hellfire- Thanks for the offer of getting me the measurements and as above you can see im keeping my pinto for now anyway.
All the best Graham. [Jacko]

Hi Jacko,

Very relieved to hear it - I will be very happy if you can 'blow me off the road' - but I doubt it

Look forward to seeing you this year

Cheers

Mark
