Does the standard t3 escort manifold bolt on the zetec?
Does the standard t3 escort manifold bolt on the zetec?
If not what is the best manifold and turbo to use?
Or do you just modify the manifold

It does fit on but you have to re drill and tap the head to re locate the studs.
The ports do all line up though.
Ther may be some photos of mine in my album.

I have been looking into this. The flange will not fit without moving the stud fixings. ..So why not cut the flange off the manifold and weld on a
zetec one? You can get them ready cut for making up custom exhausts, is the problem welding the cast manifold to a steel flange?

That is the problem indeed. Welding to cast iron is very tricky apparently!
I drilled and tapped the head with out too much problem.
This method has been used quite a bit in the boy racer RS turbo world.
I am also gonna use a home built turbo damper that supports some of the turbo weight as most people run on a cossie. Stops manifolds cracking and
studs being pulled out of the head.
