zetec ignition ?????

Hi, anybody using a zetec with carbs??

Ifso ....what you using for ignition??

alpha do a bronze kit for £330+vat ..I understand that this is not user adjustable and is more plug and play?? is it any good ???

Emerald have ther new k2 for not a lot more ,but info is a bit thin so may give them a ring??? I understand that the user can have much more input with software available to map..I gather that the same unit can then be used to a higher spec if i get Tb's ..again who's got any experiance on weather its any good?????

I was thinking megajolt ...But...there is plenty of info thanks to the web but parts ie a ready blown prom's are much harder to get...Has anyone got the megajolt on the road and running....How easy was it to map???pro's and cons please...

Any others better than above????????

Any help and input would be apreciated..

I'm about to put an emerald (M3D) on my zetec using Gixxer Bodies. Should have it running in the next few weeks.

will let you know

cheap alternatives are the ESC/2 of the escort and Twin 40s. Doubt it's easy to SVA with this setup, though - you'll need some sort of closed loop system (unless your engine is pre-95)

There's also the Megasquirt family.

I'm probably going to replace the emerald with a MS-2 when it gets released, and keep the emerald for projects.
