LT77 gearbox mount
I’m building a Viento using the LT77 box. Has anyone made up a gearbox mount bracket that fits into the tunnel of the Viento? Would be good to know
dimensions etc
Cheers

Luego do one
I bought a part build viento and it came with an SD1 (LT77) gearbox mount, supplied by Luego. It cost £25 at the time the guy bought it.
It is a very simple piece. A trapesium base and two angled 'flaps'. (rough diagram attached)
What I would suggest is to get two rubber bushes for a SD1 (www.rimmerbros.co.uk) and screw them into the holes at the back of the box under the
remote. Then make up (bend) two identical 'flaps' and bolt them to the rubber bushes. Make up a trapesium plate and then weld the flaps to
it! The base is a trapesium to fit in with the chassis. The bushes are fairly flaxible so you should be able to prize the mount off once you've
done.
Unfortunately I don't have any exacty measurements for this piece as it is now well hidden under the car!
Let me know if I can be of more help

Piccy
you may be able to just make it out in this photo
Note: I am no longer using the SD1 remote as this doesn't fit in my chassis. See this thread
