Citroen Peugeot cables usually come as a kit to be assembled as needed, throttle pedal top end may need to be slotted to allow top end of cable to be connected? mine did. Route outer cable as needed ,cut to length , thread through inner cable , fit nipple at carb/throttle spindle end and cut off excess

Hi thanks for replying if possible would you be able to get a pic cause were a bit stupid and just cant work this out !

we have half of the cable that was connected on the carb side but it does look like we can take of the bit that clips on to the carb so is it possible to connect these two cables together somehow? & is that the niple bit you were talking about ?

Once again thanks rusty

Was the cable you have supplied as a kit of parts? if so the nipple is the part with the screw through it to clamp to the inner cable

Yes the cable came as a kit of parts from luego.

It came in a plastic bag with a set of paper instructions labeled "Kit Accelerator cables" and shows diagrams of how to put the parts together for the different cars ie peugeot 104-samba-205-309-305... etc

The kit consists of the following:

1. Metal cable with a metal blob or tab at one end.

2. plastic outer cable sleeve

3. spring about 14mm in diamtere and 50mm long

4. brass cable sleeve about 70mm long

5. metal cable end peice about 60mm long (looks like it could be crimped onto the end of the cable)

6. 4 various plastic bits (hard to describe them all)

7. 4 Various rubber bits

8. One confused/stupid kit car builder !
