1300 Crossflow Problems

The crossflow in my Gemini was running too rich, even after adjusting the mixture to as lean as possible. I added a Filter King pressure regulator which seemed to help. The only thing is when I took the car out on a local private road (No SVA yet) it was fine until I reached about 3000rpm in 3rd gear. It then began to act as if miss firing or suffering from fuel starvation. I don't have this problem in 1st or 2nd. Any suggestions as I am completely stumped?

What ignition system are you running? If it's good old points, check the condenser, they seem to break down under load. Once had a car ran perfectly up to 2000 revs, then misfired like a good 'un - went through the fuel system, all seemed ok, changed ALL ignition parts, went like stink so I swapped parts back one by one, Condenser was at fault.

Cheers Marcus, will give it a go. Fuel system all seems to be fine now so it must be the ignition.
