escort crossflow bolts

hi, mated the engine and box thisa weekend - 711m crossflow 1300 to escort (type 2?) gearbox. all fairly hunky dory except can still turn output shaft when box is in gear - not good methinks?
also - what size/thread are the bolts that holt the box and enigne together please? havnt got anything that fits and wanting to fix em good once everything is fine.
best guess so far is 3/8" UNC, but not sure.

zane

If you have used the correct clutch driven plate the most likely cause not being able to get drive through an Escort gearbox is a broken roll pin in the slector mechanism -- a well known weak point on these gearboxes quite easy to fix.
Threads on Xflos are "unified" nearly all UNC with a few UNF mainly on rotating components.
