simple question
Ford type 9 gearbox. There are two electrical connections near the rear. One is the reversing light switch. What is the other. It is on the end of the
speedo cable connection, is it for an electronic speedo ?

Are you sure it's a type 9?!
The only electrical connector on my type 9 is for the reversing light switch - 2 bullet-style connectors on one screw-in switch, on the right of the
box as you look forward.
There are 2 connectors as the switch is not earthed on either side - you can wire it as you like.

I think that you might be right. It definately has both connections. I'm guessing its to do with a speedo since its on the end of the speedo
output connection. Could I use this for my dials?
