Hayabusa info

Hi everyone,

I have been reading this forum for a while now but this is my first post here. From what I have seen you are a nice bunch of people and very keen to help each other.

I am going to start building my Locost in the near future, but wish to utilise a Hayabusa engine. I have sourced an engine and gearbox for a price I am very happy with.

This will be my first Locost so I was wondering if there is anyone else out there who has gone the bike-engine route that could let me know of any special considerations to a first-time builder.

I know of the obvious aspects for example the chain driven/shaft driven problem, and the fact that there is no reverse on a bike gearbox.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Laurence.

May be time well spent to have a good look through the BEC section as this is as it says for bike-engined-cars.
You will get an insight there into the problems and hopefullly solutions to bec related issues.
Failing that, just ask.Chances are somebody will have an answer.
