MT75 three prong flange. What thread?

Just bolting my prop up.

I have new Ford bolts for the diff end but as i have removed the rubber damper from the MT75 i need to get my own bolts.

I have tried some M12 bolts but they are not the correct thread pitch

Does any one know what the thread pitch is?

As the bolts will be under a shearing force, should i use 8.8 or 12.9 tensile bolts?

Cheers,

Doug.

If you still have the 'studs' that held the 'do'nut' on then why not cut off the surplus thread and use them?

OK I've just dug one of the original studs out. The thread is 12mm 1.75 pitch.
If that's the size you tried before I suggest you look at cleaning the threads as Ford had used their blue thread locking compound on mine and it could be that making the thread stiff.

Many thanks Mick.

Is 1.75mm standard M12 pitch or coarser?

Will go and check the pitch on the bolts I have.

Thanks,

Doug.

As far as I'm aware that's the standard pitch. Good luck
