zetec engine mounts

Hi All,

I managed to get my hands on a 2l zetec black top engine Are the engine mounts the same as on a silver top? Does anyone have any pictures how they did the mounts for the zetec?

As always your help is greatfully received.

I placed my engine and gearbox within the chassis resting on blocks (or a workmate if working with the chassis off the ground) then decided on what rubber mounts to use. Once this is known you can use card or thin ply to make up some box section mounts to have fabricated in steel. MK made mine from my pattern and very well done. The hardest bit is getting the engine and gearbox placed in the chassis so that everything will fit when complete. Things like the oil filter and inlet system are the hardest on the zetec as the steering column are on the same side. All sounds harder than it is. I've got a few old pics but too big to post, let me know if you need some and I'll email you.
