MJLJ updates
Hello all,
I know a number of you are running the MJLJ- I wanted you to know that there is a significant new firmware upgrade that has a number of features and
bug fixes.
New firmware:

Lastly but most significant is the new V3 board! More features, better quality, and easier to build.

It will take me a couple of weeks to get ramped up in volume on the new V3 design, but afterwards I will endeavour to keep delivery times as tight as
possible!
Thanks,
Brent Picasso

Cool to see you online Brent. I'll hopefully be doing a Megasquirt system myself at some point in the not too distant future.
All the best,
James

Have a unit which I bought from you about 3 months ago , how do I upgrade to the new firmware?
I was thinking of setting a rev limiter by , taking off the advance at say 6000rpm to 10degrees or 0 degrees , would this work ok?

I'm blushing.
It's hard to find time for this, especially with a newborn (well, 9.5 mos old, which is more work) , but I've de-prioritized my Autocross
racing so I can focus more on this project (and others).
I'll post instructions for upgrading the firmware on the website.
The new firmware release supports a 'soft' rev limit. 100 RPMs before the 'hard' rev limit cut the controller sets the advance
to zero. When the hard limit is reached it activates the REV_LIMIT output. External circuitry would then be able to cut power to the coils.
