Well with a 4.44:1 diff and a 0.86 5th gear my striker won't go much above 120mph but it does get there damn quick!

I have had 125 so far, but at this speed, fear overcomes bravado and I ease back!
3.75 diff and type 9
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

My 1600 crossflow nearly broke the sound barrier at SVA in 2001.

Why the sad face??? 125 in a se7en sounds scary to me. Id suspect it not the top speed that should concern anyone, more how fast it gets there and if
it can go round corners.

mine is geared to reach 121 MPH in 6th at 11750 RPM. I thought about geing a 3.14 diff, which would give 139 at 11750 or 124 at peak power. I really
don't want to go that fast and the taller the gearing, the lower the acceleration, which I think it is all about.

ISTR JimG got ~145 out of his R1 Pheonix, the enclosed body of the Fury/Pheonix will help a huge amount above 100mph or so. Still, I reckon Hicost
must have enough grunt to hit well over 150mph if gearing allows.
Any seven with less than 200bhp is going to seriously struggle much above 130mph due to aerodynamics so little point in gearing above that unless you
need it for relaxed cruising.

Mine runs into the limiter in top quite quickly when on gas so would like a bit taller gearing but I agree the taller gearing would be more useful for
the cruising aspect. Not fun driving along sat at 8k.

8K in yours would be comarable to driving at 4.5K in a proper car. I see you have 3 options,
1. Taller gearing as you say but this might compromise acceleration,
2. Live with it,
3. Fit a proper engine. It is a car after all!!!

Mine does about one mile an hour pushing up the drive, but i get about five mile an hour rolling it back down into the garage
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.
By that time, who cares.
You're a mile away, and you've got his shoes
