RV 8 oil pressure sender

Chaps,

Does anyone know what the thread is? I've measured the thread and it looks to be 9mm, but I'm sure it has the slightest of tapers.

When I spoke to mocal, they suggested drilling and tapping my remote filter housing and screwing it into that (there is a casting for the purpose) but I need to know the thread.

Thanks very much

ATB

Simon

I am fairly sure its 1/2 or 5/8 UNF, One is the oil pressure, and the other is the Water temp on the manifold.. I think the oil is the 1/2 UNF.

I used Greegauges, and their sender is 1/8NPT, however I got an adaptor from Real Steel for about £5.

However the adaptor thread wall is VERY thin.

Put the adaptor fully in the block FIRST. I used a couple of layers of PTFE tape to seal. THEN put in the Oil Pressure Transducer, out you will split the side wall of the adaptor.

Guess how I know!
