leaking oil pressure sender

anyone had problem with a consistant oil leak on an oil pressure sender on a pinto. I keep tightening it further but im sure its gonna shear off soon. It said on the fitting instructions not to use ptfe tape with it so i didnt

the oil pressure hole thread is 1/4 NPTF. It is a tapered thread dry seal so you are right not to use thread sealant. Mine doesnt leak and it is very tight.

Are you sure it's leaking from the threads , when oil pressure switches leak it's normally knackered . fit a new switch with no sealant on threads , should cure the leak .

Also make sure that the threads are REALLY clean - NPTF seals because of the shape of the threads on the male and female don't quite match (deliberately!) so they jam up against each other when tightened into the taper. A bit of tough dirt may spoil the seal.
